Windermere Activities

The Western River runs through the station which is only a short walk or drive from the homestead. It is a beautiful spot to sit and relax or if you are keen on bird watching you will not be disappointed, as there is a large variety of birds for you to photograph or admirer. What to see whilst at ‘Windermere’ Station
After you have taken in the peaceful surrounds at ‘Windermere’, you can plan day trips to local attractions. Such as the Waltzing Matilda Centre (less than 15 minutes drive from Windermere), Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways (Windermere is on the road to Lark Quarry, approx 1 hrs drive to the conservation park), and the route of the River Gum self drive tour of magnificent Bladensburg National Park.
